It’s true, winter has shown up, and you understand what that implies; cold days ahead! What better way to prepare than with easy beginner crochet mittens.

Keep your hands warm and cozy this chilly season with this comfortable crochet mitten pattern! These crochet mittens have a ridged surface & repeating rows, making it perfect for endless color combinations!

Better yet, if you are looking for a pattern for crochet Mittens in one piece, you found it! We will be working in the back loop singe crochet the entire pattern. This is how the ridge look of the pattern is created. Don’t worry about complicated stitching & counting. Nobody has time for that. These single crochet mittens is easy enough for the beginner crocheter.

These cute crochet mittens will keep your hands protected from the winter chill. The best part about this pattern is that it is quick and easy to crochet & you can make them for your entire family. Obviously, they are unbelievably soft and comfortable to wear.

Both the right and left mittens are worked the same. The entire mitten is worked sideways, in back and forth rows, creating one panel. To form the mitten, all you need to do is fold it in half! It doesn’t get any easier than this.

These would even work great as oven mitts! DO NOT USE ACRYLIC YARN! Please use cotton yarn if you chose to make oven mitts instead, acrylic yarn is flammable.

About The Yarn

Vanna’s Choice has always been one of my favorite yarns. The fullness of the yarn is apparent in every stitch. It’s so squishably soft & bounces back when stretched. I wanted a yarn that wouldn’t leave gaps when you are crocheting & looks great even after washing.

This is a silky-soft premium basic yarn that is the easy-care yarn Vanna loves enough to call her own. With its supple hand and stunning stitch quality, Vanna’s Choice has the versatility to help you create the designs of your dreams. Make a simple sweater, shape a stylish shawl or fashion a stunning afghan. Weight category: 4. Solids: 100% acrylic, 3.5oz/100g, 170yd/156m.

These mittens are the perfect beginner-friendly patterns. If you have been stuck on blankets and scarves, try to think outside the box. Well we won’t be going that far out of it, but you get my point.

I almost forgot to add, these mittens are a part of a set. Check out the match Crochet Turban from last week. The turban is made in the same style as the mittens. Once again don’t worry about complicated stitching. This pattern is also made in one flat panel then sewn together.
