Summer Crochet Crop Top Pattern
Are you looking to make a summer crochet crop top for teens or for your beach vacation? Then I have something for you. This is not your granny’s crochet top.
This pattern includes the written PDF & a free video tutorial. I make this crochet halter simple enough for anyone to follow. It’s such and easy crochet pattern. Have you always wanted to venture into crochet tops? If so, this pattern is for you.
You will be able to use any worsted weight yarn. The pattern is written using 1 color, but you can change colors at any point or keep it all one color.
This is an intermediate pattern. Written stitch instructions, a video tutorial, and some instructional photos are included. This is written in US crochet terminology.

3 skeins Caron simply soft 600 yards
4mm hook

(S) A-B cup (M) C-D cup (L) DD cup
Stitches
Sl st- Slip Stitch
Sk- Sk Stitch
Ch- Chain
Sc- Single Crochet
Hdc- Half Double Crochet
Hdc2tog- Half Double Crochet 2 Together
Specialty Stitches
Hdc2tog- Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook). Yarn over, insert hook in next stitch, yarn over pull up a loop (5 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through all 5 loops on hook.
*Note: Ch 1 does not count as a stitch throughout the pattern.
Cup Make 2
Ch 13 (15,17)
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch until last ch, 3 sc in last ch. Place stitch marker in center sc. Working on bottom of starting ch, sc across, turn. (25,29,33)
Row 2-11 (S): Ch 1, hdc in each st until center stitch marker, 3 hdc in center stitch marker, place a stitch marker in center hdc. Hdc in each st to end of row, turn. (45)
Row 12-13 (M): Repeat row 2. (53)
Row 14-15 (L): Repeat row 2. (61)
Fasten off.
Side Straps (video 5:47)
Turn cup upside down. Working on the widest flat part of cup
Row 1: Evenly hdc across bottom of cup til 4 sts past the center of cup (about an inch), turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sk st, hdc across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, hdc across until last 2 sts, hdc2tog, turn.
Row 4: Repeat row 2
Row 5: Repeat 3
Row 6: Repeat 2
Row 7-13 (S): Ch 1, hdc across, turn.
Row 14-16 (M): Repeat row 7
Row 17-19 (L): Repeat row 7
Fasten off.
Repeat on 2nd cup

Join Cups (video 14:37)
Place cup peaks side by side with both center top facing each other. Sl st center most 6 sts of both cups together. Fasten Off

Collar straps
Working on top right side of crop top. Attach yarn (video 16:30)
Row 1: Ch 1, hdc across, turn.
Row 2-9: Ch 1, hdc 12 sts, turn. Fasten off. (12)
2nd Collar strap
Attach yarn to opposite side of top
Row 1-8: repeat rows 2-9. Fasten off.
Bottom of Crop top (video 21:26)
Turn top upside down. The cups will be facing downwards. Attach yarn to bottom of side straps.
Row 1: Ch 1, evenly hdc across side straps & bottom of cups, turn.
Row 2-16: Ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn. Fasten off.
*Note. Continue adding row for more length
Neck strap (video 23:35)
Ch 125. Weave chain thru tops of both collar straps.
