Free crochet stitch pattern
I always say, once you learn the basic stitch of crochet you no longer a newbie. It’s all about how you combine those stitches to make something beautiful. As a crocheter, it is important to a variety of stitches in our mental bank. That’s why today I’m bringing you this free crochet stitch pattern that will bring any boring pattern to life
What’s beautiful about this stitch pattern is it’s enclosed shell stitches place so neatly between chain stitches. Basically, you are combining one of the simplest stitches (a chain) to make a structure and the shell for the decorative flare
This stitch pattern is created in multiples of 8+1. We will be working in back & forth rows with a 6 row pattern repeat.

Ch 35
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc, *ch 5, sk 3, sc*, rep *to* across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in the same st, sc in ch-5 sp. *Ch 5, sc in ch-5 sp, shell in the sc, sc in ch-5 sp*, rep *to* across, 3 dc in last sc st, turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc, ch 5, sc in ch-5 sp, ch 5. *Sc in top of shell, ch 5,sc in ch-5 sp, ch 5*, rep *to* across, sc in the top of ch-3 st, turn.
Row 5: *Ch 5, sc in ch-5 sp, shell in the sc, sc in ch-5 sp*, rep *to* across, ch 2, dc in the last sc st, turn.
Row 6: Ch 1, sc, ch 5, *sc in top of shell, ch 5, sc in ch-5 sp, ch 5* rep *to* across, sc in the ch-3 st, turn.
Repeat row 3-6 to continue pattern
