After a long day at work, it’s nice to come home, slip off your shoes, and put on some cute crochet slippers! I actually have a lot of free crochet slipper patterns to choose from, and here’s one more. It’s made in two colors, with one color forming the background of the slipper and the other creating a raised grid work around it. Totally eye-catching, right?
The pattern is crocheted from the toe to the heel first by working in the round and then by working in turned rows. The seam created by working in joined rounds is hidden on the bottom side of the shoe, so your slippers won’t have that eyesore visible. After all, we want our crochet work to be beautiful as well as functional!
While I do have a lot of free crochet patterns that are beginner-friendly, this is not one of them. This pattern is for my fellow seasoned crocheters who love learning new skills and trying new crochet techniques. Come along with me as we learn how to crochet the connected quad single crochet stitch! (say that 10 times fast!)
Yarn used for slippers
For this pattern for crochet beret, we’re using Mighty Stitch is a #5 bulky weight yarn. But it definitely feels more like a full worsted weight. Please don’t mark this against this yarn. I absolutely love it. It has an amazing luster & it feels like magic on the hook. Just make sure that you check your gauge.
The Mighty Stitch is a Superwash Superhero! A crafting powerhouse combining 20% Superwash Wool and 80% Acrylic, this yarn is perfect for hats, scarves, and blankets, too! When you need an easy-care yarn in a wide range of gorgeous hues, you’re sure to think, “Mighty Stitch to the Rescue!”
