If you are looking for some sexy crochet sandals for ladies, you found them. Crochet a pair for your upcoming vacation or to match your summer outfit.
It will only take you an hour and very little yarn to create these Boho crochet sandals. You can purchase the downloadable PDF HERE.
In the process of designing these, I stared at a plain pair of flip-flops for hours, hoping I could come up with an original design.
After SEVERAL frogs, it hit me. Extended treble crochets are the answer!
With such tall stitches, I was able to cover a lot of the sandal while still having an airy summer feel.
Even while using worsted weight yarn!
I knew how to create the stitches, but figuring out the name of all the tall extended treble crochets was the hard part.
I have been crocheting for over 30 yrs & have never heard of a Septuple, Octuple, or Nonuple Treble Crochet before.
Thank goodness for Google. I ran across Moogly’s blog, and was finally able to find the names for my stitches.
Don’t worry, these stitches are super easy. Just in case, I provided a full crochet flip-flop YouTube tutorial
Because of the tall stitches and skipped stitches, this 5-row pattern can be completed in no time at all.
How do you crochet flip-flops with sandals?
I prefer to take the easy route when I crochet adult sandals. Crocheting over flip-flops will get the job done.
This free pattern works for any shoe size, which is perfect if you are taking custom orders.
Your first row is worked by crocheting over the strap. These DIY crochet sandals are a “No Sew Project”! All you need is flip-flops.
