You will now be working underneath the original chain. Dc in next 8(10,12) sts, hdc in next st, sc next 8(10,12) sts, 4 sc in last st, sl st to join. Stitch count: (44,52,60) (video 1:17)
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in the next 18(22,26) sts, 2 sc in the next 5 sts, sc in the next 18(22,26) sts, 2 sc in the next 3 sts, sl st to join. Stitch count: (52,60,68) (video 4:00)

Attach yarn to center heel. You will be alternating colors every row.

Round 6-7: Attach new color to center heel ch-1 sp. BegCl, ch 1, *cl in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1, repeat * around, sl st to join.
According to the picture below, fold slipper in half then mark the center 11(13,15) clusters at the toe with a stitch marker. Then attach yarn to center heel ch-1 sp.
Round 8 (color A): BegCl, ch 1, *cl in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1, repeat from * until first st marker, (cl2tog, ch 1) 6(7,8) times, *cl in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1, repeat from * until end of row, sl st to join. Stitch count: (28,31,34 clusters) (video 17:51)
Fold the slipper in half again, then mark the center 9(11,13) clusters at the toe with a stitch marker, then attach yarn to center heel ch-1 sp.
Round 9 (color B): BegCl, ch 1, *cl in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1, repeat from * until first st marker, (cl2tog, ch 1) 5(6,7) times, *cl in the next ch-1 sp, ch 1, repeat from * until end of row, sl st to join. Stitch Count: (24,25,27 clusters) (video 21:45)
