Crochet Pin Wheel Video Tutorial

Pattern

Materials:

You can use any yarn weight & recommended hook size. The sample is shown in Bulky Weight Yarn, crocheted with a 6 mm hook. You’ll switch between two colors of yarn (A and B). 

Notes:

Fasten off your work each time you change colors, and then crochet over your yarn tails as you go to avoid having to do it all at the end. 

Magic Ring or Ch 4 and sl st to the 1st ch to form a ring. 

Round 1 A: Ch 1, 8 sc into ring, sl st to join. (8)(video 1:00)

Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, sl st to join. (16)(video 1:30) 

Round 3 B: Ch 3 (counts as dc), hdc, sc, hdc, *dc, hdc, sc, hdc, repeat from * around, sl st to join to the top of ch 3. (16)(video 2:48)

Round 4 A: Ch 1, *sc, hdc, dc, tr, ch 4, repeat from * around, sl st to join. (32)(video 5:19)

Attach yarn B to any ch 4 sp. 

Round 5 B: Ch 1,*(2 sc, 2 hdc) in ch-4 sp, dc next 2 sts, tr next 2 sts, ch 4, repeat from * around, sl st to join. (48)(video 7:54)

Attach yarn A to any ch 4 sp. 

Round 6 A: Ch 1,*(3 sc, hdc) in ch-4 sp, hdc next 2 sts, dc next 3 sts, tr next 3 sts, ch 4, repeat from * around, sl st to join. (64) (video 11:27)

Attach yarn B to any ch 4 sp.

Attach yarn A to any ch 4 sp.

Attach yarn B to any ch 4 sp.

Edging

Sc in each st, 4 sc in each ch-4 sp, sl st to join.

Blocking is recommended to encourage your work to lay flat.
